Those with a C/S scar, please come in....

Alright. Back story: I had my son way back in May '99, which was C/S. I have a very, very low, horizontal 3 inch scar. It never bothered me and I couldn't even tell I had it....until NOW!

Well, I have really popped in this past week or two and it is so strange to touch it, especially at night when I seem to be at my largest.hehe.

I also keep getting an odd sensation that I thought was a UTI or bladder infection, nope, the Dr says it is the scar tissue stretching. I don't even want to know how it's going to feel as I get further along!

So weird! Anyone else?

  • Well mine is just a year old and I have always had a lot of itching still from it....but mine has been uncomfortable and more itchy.  I was also told the same thing about the scar tissue.  I am hoping I will get used to it eventually :)

  • That's interesting.  I wondered why I was feeling pains there right now.  I hadn't thought of the scar stretching.

  • Mine is two years old. I have not felt a thing out of the ordinary since probably a few months post partum, when all of the numbness disappeared.. And...unless you are looking, you can't even see the scar. It's practically gone! I'm anxious to see how it goes during this pregnancy.
  • My first c-section was in 98, second in 03 but have had no issue with with my second pregnancy nor this one thus far (knock on wood).
