Yes! I knew it was really bothering me when I washed my hands with cold water and it just felt so good that I kept them under the running water for a couple of minutes.
It is the pg-related carpal tunnel syndrome. My co-worker says wearing splints at night helps but I haven't gotten any yet.
my dr said that mine was caused by my low blood pressure. It hasn't been too bad lately since I'm up and moving a lot at night going to the bathroom, and the tossing and turning. oh the joys of pregnancy
my right hand is the worse. it is so painful to write (i was attempting thank yous earlier) , it hurts to sleep. ?just down right painful all the time. ?the doctor said i have carpal tunnel in my arm.
the dr. said i could go through therapy and get a splint. ?but i'll just deal with it the next 6 weeks. ??
I'm sure it's carpal tunnel - very common late in pregnancy. I had it before I was pregnant and now the pain is almost unbearable, I sleep in wrist braces and it really does make a huge difference. Also I make DH massage my hands alot! It should go away after delivery though.
Yes, you are not alone and I hate it! I experienced the carpal tunnel pain in my first trimester and then it disappeared. Well now its back in my final days and my right hand is the worst and especially at night. I also wake up with super sore finger joints to the point where I can't even bend them without the joint sticking. It usually goes away by mid-morning and then starts up again at night.
Re: anyone else with sore numb hands and arms?
