We have started the transition from formula to soy milk. We are gradually  mixing the 2 together like the Dr suggested so we don't take him off the formula cold turkey and upset his stomach.

Well apparently switching to soy has upset his stomach, because yesterday he started having diarrhea. He is currently getting 1/4 formula and 3/4 soy. Hopefully after a few days his system will adjust.

    Hopefully after a few days his stomach settles.  I know some people may not agree with this but the change over is similar to what a lot of people do when switching brands of dog food (or regular to weight control formula).  Sometimes the first 2-3 days they get an upset tummy.  What we tend to do for that situation (which may be applicable) is to wait until the tummy calms down for a few days to switch to 50/50.  It takes longer but you know the tummy is getting used to it.  GL!
