dutch wonderland vs. sesame place?

Dutch Wonderland is about 1/2 the price of Sesame Place

We are thinking about going for a day in September - DD isn't a huge fan of Sesame Street anyway.

We are trying to make a trip to Yuengling Brewery and then go somewhere for DD the next day.  Thoughts. . .

  • I think Sesame place would have more for her at her age.  But I haven't been to either so really don't think I am much help.

  • My friend takes her kids to DW at least twice a summer and they LOVE it.  (Their ageas are 6 & 3)  So if DD isn't a huge fan os SS I would save the money and go to DW.

  • Forgot to add- I think the Crayola Factory is close to there too.  My understanding is that they have a lot of fun stuff for kids to do there.

  • Just took Belle to Dutch Wonderland last month for her cousin's birthday who is just a month older and she had a fabulous time!  I'm gonna post some pics on FB sometime soon. :)

It is a full day and then some with rides and waterpark galore for them to enjoy.  F.Y.I , if you purchase a ticket, you can get in the night before for an early bird deal (I think after 5pm) and hit up some of the rides earlier-helps to break it up.  Definitely worth taking advantage of, especially if you were planning on staying overnight there.  We stayed at the Marriott Courtyard Lancaster and it was really nice (used DH's reward points).

My sister-in-law and her sister have both taken their kids to Sesame Place and said they would recommend waiting until 3 for us to take Bella.  Not sure of their reasoning though.  She looooves Sesame Street though, so we will definitely go eventually.

  • I used to live/teach in Philly and take my students to the Please Touch Museum.  It is a terrific place.  I definitely plan on taking my daughter there sometime in the not too distant future. :)
