I read here a lot about crappy ex-husbands or absent boyfriends and I often see the phrase "no one planned to do this alone" as advice is dispensed or hugs are shared. It got me thinking...is there anyone on here who actually did plan to be a single parent?

Re: Anyone a single parent by choice?
There are one or two that have introduced themselves as having or considering being a single parent by choice. Boston Gay Gal is one that considered but then became involved and was recently married.
If you want to stick around you will welcomed as part of the group as you will be going through similar issues. and if you are single parenting by choice I'm going to guess you are a mature level headed strong independent woman and you and your advice will most certainly be welcomed.
Thank you very much!
I am actually pursing single motherhood. I start trying this month. I can't say it was always what I had planned to do, but it's been a process 5 years in the making so I am getting quite excited. I just turned 37 so sometimes you just have to make your own path in life!
