Baby Grand - kind of annoyed!

I ordered a glider from Baby Grand on July 3rd ? they said it would take 6-8 weeks to get in (8 weeks would be August 28th).  I just asked for an update and they said it wouldn?t be shipped until 9/2 and then it would take ?1-2 more weeks? to arrive in the store.  I?m ?due? 9/23 and kind of wanted the nursery ready to go at least a few weeks in advance. 

 

Has anyone else had problems with Baby Grand?  I have a feeling there?s nothing I can do now (other than cancel my order completely) but it?s kind of frustrating!

    I have been wiating for about 5 weeks for a stroller and a carseat to come in. They told me 3 weeks and yet here I am still waiting for it. I called them last week and they told me it should be in this week for the carseat and next week for the stroller. I will believe it when I see it.

    I have no personal experience with them, but I have heard that since they are a small store they try to order all their things at once.  So for example, they will wait to order your items until they have enough other items to make one larger order...thus resulting in waiting.

    Some semi-good news - I complained and now they promised to deliver it directly to my house and even do the set-up if it arrives after August 28th (which is probably will).  At least I won't have to find time and energy to go to the store! But, it's still frustrating....

    I had the same expirence with baby grand. I ordered a chair and they told me 4 to 6 weeks.

    Then my baby came and no chair. I had to call and complain and to compensate they dilivered my chair for free.
