Okay, so based on previous posts, I know that many of you are from the school of thought that planning future nurseries is too "cart before the horse" (which is understandable), but for those of you that are crazy planners (like me)... I thought that I would share my nursery design boards.
I posted these on the Nurseries and Baby Gear board, but I thought I would share them here too, since I post more regularly on this board.
For a boy:
For a girl:
What do you think? Besides that I am crazy for planning so far a head ![]()
Re: Future Nursery (XP)...
I think designing a nursery is highly overrated and you should just buy the things that are practical (and will actually get used).
I know many moms wind up thinking the nursery decorating was a waste after their LO arrives and wished they had saved the money instead.
I am thinking about doing a pink/brown theme also if I have a girl. And I love the baby boy wall hangings.
Don't worry, I have a ton of nursery items bookmarked AND a Target registry started.

I hear yah... the nursery decor is probably for me more than the baby, but that's okay with me. I design all the other rooms in my house, so I couldn't image not designing the nursery.
DS#1- Born August 2011
Yep, I have a design budget. I don't see anything wrong with dreaming about and putting together a 'designed' room for your LO.
My style tends not to include matchy type bedding and things, but I like what you've done.
I have a TON of pictures saved and lots of links bookmarked... I can lose HOURS searching for baby stuff on etsy.com lol.
This is my fave so far:
(I think I actually stole this from someone on here lol)
I thought I was the only one!! Glad to know I'm not alone.
OP I have plenty of nursery pics and ideas on my vision board and screen savers. I also have a few baby items that i brought on sale, I am all about having the cart before the horse LOL

Here We Go Again!!
Agreed! Although, I understand looking at the Etsy baby stuff for waaaay too long.
I know, it's so spunky! I love the colors!
I never saw the point of decorating a nursery all up. We just left the bedroom walls tan like they were, and I bought a striped sheet and brown curtains to match the sheet (also keep light out). We have a crib, one 5 drawer dresser and my glider in the corner. Instant nursery.
I think it's cute though, and I'm sure for some it's exciting to get the room all ready when the time comes. I just didn't want to waste money.
