I am flying home for a week to see my family and my husband can not join me. I need tips! I mix BM with formula so I plan to pre-mix those for my diaper bag but I am wondering about my car seat, stroller, bringing extra BM in my luggage, my pump, etc. Any tips or suggestions? Should I bring my stroller with the car seat adapter (Uppa Baby Vista) or buy the Snap N Go? Do they let you put breastmilk in your luggage? Are ice packs good enough to keep it fresh for a 4 hour flight plus travel time? Help!
Re: Flying with baby, alone!
I just flew with my 8 week old for the 1st time on Thursday. I brought 2 bottles of breast milk in my diaper bag with ice packs, and they stayed cool the entire time. I packed my pump in my checked bag since I didn't plan on pumping in the airport. I carried LO in the baby bjorn, and it worked SO well. I didn't even have to take her out to go through security. She slept in there even when we were on the plane after I gave her a bottle on take off.
I did not bring a carrier or a stroller because my Sister in law had one for me at her house, but I think if I would have needed to brign them, I would have checked them both instead of lugging them through the airport. The baby bjorn seemed much easier.
