and if I don't get KU this cycle he wants to take a few months off from TTCAL. Were not going to TTA were just not going to use OPK's, charting etc. I'm going to be traveling for work alot September-Nov and I also may be getting a job promotion which will mean moving 1200 miles back to NJ in December. He's just concerned that the stress from everything may be to much for me if I get KU. While I agree that the next few months are going to be hectic and stressful it really breaks my heart to think about not TTC. My entire life for the past year has revolved around trying to have a baby. I know that a break would probably be good for me and actually focusing on me and DH for a little is needed but it still just sucks. If AF shows her ugly face this cycle its going to be much harder then normal I just know it! Sad

DH and I are at that point too. School starts in a week and the first couple of months are always hectic. I don't know how I'm going to not TTC. I just ordered two month's worth of OPK's too. I am hoping he'll just think we're not TTC while I secretly check.

Oh hun I am sorry. I hope you get a BFP this cycle so you don't even have to worry about all that. But if you don't maybe the TTCAL break will result in a BFP anyway. ((HUGS))

Oh I'm sorry. =( My DH said something the other day that I was obsessed with TTC and he wanted it to be more natural and it upset me. It's not the same as your situation, but when you're not on the same page, it makes things harder. I hope that AF is nowhere to be found for you.

I agree w/PP, TTCAL w/o hiim knowing, unless you want to take a break. I hope you get a BFFP so it doesn't matter !!

It seems like not TTC is what's going to give you added stress! I hope you get your BFP this cycle and don't have to worry about that!

I really hope everything works out in the end. It seems like the odds are when you are not TTC but also not TTA is when the BFP will come along and surprise you. I hope you can stick around and still chat with us! Good luck, and congratulations on your maybe up coming promotion!

We took a break this spring. It was so hard at first to think that we were wasting time, but after I adjusted to the idea, it was nice. I really did feel more relaxed. We'll probably actively TTC until October and then take another break. I don't want to have a baby in the middle of the school year... (I am a full-time student and have just two years left to finish my degree).

Its just tough right now because in my head I know moving 1300 miles and starting a new job while pregnant would be difficult and it would be smarter to wait until were settled into our new place before TTC again but my heart wants a baby right now and just wants to believe that we'll make it work. DH also brought up the good point to that if I get KU and then I move I'll have to switch Doctors mid pregnancy. ::Sigh:: I dont know what I wanna do Sad

I don't know if I'd chart without him knowing, though. Firstly, it's kinda sneaky (and I sooo can't lie about stuff), and secondly, it would drive me crazy if I wanted/needed to BD and he wasn't in the mood, wasn't available, etc. Then you couldn't even say, "But we NEED to because I Od." I'd be insane.

Like others have said though, I hope the break will give you your happy surprise, and I hope you stick around. Thinking of you! (((((((hugs)))))))

Thanks love! I wouldnt keep charting or OPK's a secret from him. Plus it would be really difficult to temp first thing in the morning w/o him noticing! I'm hoping that my BFP comes this cycle and I don't have to worry about taking a break...But if not I definitely will stay on this board. You ladies are like family and have helped me through so much over the past year that Ive been here!!

I'm in the same boat. DH is from Alaska and really wants to go back. He's been applying to jobs up there so if he gets hired I'll finish out the semester with my students then go up there too. I worry about switching doctor also. I'm not letting myself worry about it- I feel like I've put plans on hold too many times already. If we get pregnant, we get pregnant and we'll plan from there.

If you don't require drugs to conceive then I think this sounds like a plan "not to plan"...never fails this is when my friends get ku when they have so much going on and clueless as to when they O, etc. GL to you.

I just wanted to elaborate a little on my short post above.

I had my BFP when I wasn't paying any attention at all to my cycle. I didn't even know for sure when my last cycle started. I probably was under the most stress (emotional and otherwise) I've ever experienced in my life when I got PG...we sold our house, were moving/moved (BFP three days after moving) and my 10 yr old step daughter was diagnosed with type I juvenile diabetes less than two months prior to the BFP. At that point I didn't think it would ever happen, but it did. I'm not expert, but I think it took me not focusing on it for it to happen for me. All I can say is try not to worry, have faith that it'll happen and enjoy your life as best you can including all the exciting new changes. ((HUGS)) and take care!
