We need to purchase bottles again. We lent ours to my brother and after having two kids go through them, I just want to start fresh again.
We are Dr. Brown's users as it most resembles the nipple that they use in the NICU. We are going to purchase 30 bottles. While that may seem excessive, we had about 15 for Katie which is two days supply when they are little.
So, I have to buy 10 of the 3 packs of the Dr. Brown's 8 oz. bottles. I priced them out:
BRU - $14.99
Target - $13.79
Wal-Mart - $13.65
We were just going to purchase at Wal-Mart since they are the cheapest, but waiting to see what sales happen at BRU. So, this weekend they are having a stock-up feeding sale. Buy 2 regular priced items and your third item is 50% off.
So, at BRU, each pack will now wind up costing $12.49 each. This is the cheapest at the moment. However, does BRU ever do the Dr. Brown's bottles at buy one, get one 50% off. I seem to remember this happening when I had Katie, but don't recall seeing any other sales similar to this.
So, do I purchase now or wait until there is a better sale going on? Have you seen a better sale at BRU or is this sale the best I can get?
Re: Buy Now? or wait for a better sale....
Just to throw another option at you (because I loath BRU). Amazon has them priced at 13.07. You will get free shipping with orders over 25....which you will have if you buy 10 packs. Amamzon does run sales on and off, if you put th items in your cart every time you log into your account it will notify you of a price change if there is one.
GL!
That seems like a lot of bottles! We only have 12 total. That was 1 full days worth when they were itty bitty and home all day. Now they are taking 4-5 bottles per day. They go to MIL and sitters each week so I had to buy 6 bottles for each place so we have a total of 24 bottles in 3 locations and it is plenty for us.
As for the BRU sale - they do have B1G1 50% off. That's when I bought all of our bottles. Good luck!
I don't think they've ever done a buy one get one 50% off.
ETA: I stand corrected. I just never paid attention because I never had to consider buying that many bottles!
Also, the one-star asshat appears to have reared their head here too - this post has one star and so does Hannah's post asking for updates on your U/S.
Yeah, I know, but we are very lazy with bottles. I like to have a full set for each day per baby. While one set is in the dishwasher, I have another set ready to go whether it be at home or at daycare. I also have 3 sets of pumping supplies. We like to buy in bulk.
Katie: 1/16/08 2lbs. 15oz.
Abby & Emily: 12/31/10 6lbs. 2oz. & 5lbs. 7oz.
I agree with this 1000%. We used Dr. Brown's bottles with Ava, and Charlotte absolutely would not take them.
