mandarin oranges

ya know those mandarine oranges that come in the cups with light juice?  I know they are not the healthiest thing in the world but they are sweet and soft.  is this ok to give to LO during the day as a snack?

Re: mandarin oranges

  • My pedi said it was okay and she has a daughter just 2 mos older than my son.  She said just rinse the extra syrup.

Just a warning though.  When he poops, sometimes they aren't always fully digested and you can still see oranges.  :)

  • DD loved canned mandarin oranges. I just rinse the syrup off. I just wish they weren't grown and canned in China becasue I try to avoid buying food products from there, so far I haven't been able to find any non-Chinese mandarin oranges.
