I was just wondering if anyone has tried relactation. I was unable to BF early on and am wondering if I should try it again now. LO is 12 weeks old. Thoughts? (especially if you have had experience with this!) TIA!
I weaned DD1 when she was 3 months and then regreted it so I tried relactating. I used fenugreek, pumped a lot and put baby to breast a lot! Most of my supply came back but not like before so after that I always had to supplement just a little formula but I was able to continue BF till she was 2 years old. By 9 months since she was eating so much solids I was able to cut formula completely and just nurse and feed her solids. GL!!
I got fenugreek from GNC, it's a natural pill that helps with the production of milk...I don't know how but someone told me to get it and it worked lol. I took it 3 times a day and it made me smell like maple syrup.
Other things I've heard that work (but I've never tried myself) are mothers milk tea(?) and beer.
I did fenugreek to increase my supply. I'll warn you. It did cause me to have headaches and nausea. My OB said that he has seen those symptoms commonly with it. Good luck!
