Prosciutto panino anyone?

I'm dying to eat a panino that has prosciutto, mozarella and tomatoes from a local sub shop. Do you know if its safe to eat it in the second trimester? I suppose I could try to have them heat it up for me but I don't want to. What are your thoughts ladies?

  • Sounds yummy - I'd eat it!

  • I've had prosciutto about 6 times in the last 2 months, all is well.

  • The risk isn't the meat, it's from a bacteria called Listeria tha'ts potentially on the meat. If the place is clean and trustworthy with regards to food handling practices....I'd probably go for it.

It had some of a turkey sub that my sister ordered yesterday and I enjoyed it. My first time eating lunch meat since my BFP.

  • Panino usually means that it's all squished together and grilled.  In which case, it would be totally safe.

  • I've been eating lunch meats right along.  So far so good.
