Welcome, ladies, to the Expecting a Sibling Weekly Check-In! I will try to post this check-in each Friday around 10:00am-12p EST, so be looking for it! I'll also try to repost this around Saturday-Sunday so that others can add to our thread. If you'd like you can also put the date of your next checkup or u/s and I'll add next to your name so that we can send good thoughts your way on that particular day.
Below is the list of ladies who have joined us, 73 so far! If you would like to be added to our list, please leave your Bump Name, your real name (if you choose to share), and what number child this will add to your family. Newbies are always welcome, as well as proud step parents & those adopting!
For those who are newbies please read the post New to January Moms or The Bump? (thank you to mchupie!). It will help answer so many questions, and you can also grab the January Joy button code from that post. There is also a bump glossary located here. And an unofficial glossary located here. The unofficial glossary contains a lot more bump lingo.
Also cdobry01 has setup a January Joy Mamas blog!
If you have a labor buddy let me know so I can make a note on our check-ins! It's okay to have multiple buddies too.
Update on our ladies:
If you plan on staying team green/yellow/red etc.(because we all know there is more than one neutral color), let us know so we can mark you as such.

I have felt great actually! I have felt the baby kicking quite a few times! It was exciting!

Awful. My back is injured so I'm seeing a physical therapist. Not being able to take any decent pain medication is not fun.

I would definitely not do a shower, especially with kids so close together. I might do a get together after baby is born, but I wouldn't do a shower.

TIRED. But, generally better than I have been. I think my morning (all day) sickness has finally let up.

I'd love to have a get together, but in reality, we won't have any sort of shower or party for this baby (and didn't with our second either). My boys' birthdays are in December and January and with the holidays on top of that, it'd be a lot to ask of people to come to a "welcome baby" party or whatever. It did bum me out when I was pregnant with #2 that no one seemed to want to "celebrate" him, but I think I may have been a touch hormonal...

QOTD: No baby shower this time. Even if its a different sex.
BONUS: We'll find out on the 24th hopefully! But, we're keeping it a surprise until delivery.
General QOTD: This week was the hardest one I've had in quite some time. I had a horrendous headache that lasted 5 days straight and nothing I did helped it at all. I seriously could not function it was awful.
QOTD: I have a friend who would like to throw a baby shower if it is a girl but I feel silly about that even though it would be our first girl... so I don't know. We find out what team we're on in SIX DAYS!!!
Good, but tired. I think it has more to do with DD than being pregnant though.

I doubt it. We don't have any family out here, and just a few friends. I'm totally fine either way! I don't like being he center of attention anyway, and I'm really good at finding deals online.
BONUS:
Our big ultrasound is on Tuesday!! Apparently, the techs won't always tell you the sex (because of a lot of gender selection abortions), so we're hoping and praying that our tech will tell us!! If not, we'll have to wait for our MW to get the results and let us know. I don't think I can wait! Send out good thoughts for us, ladies!

i've been feeling pretty good, just exhausted most of the time. but i blame part of that on a new work schedule and we've been having thunderstorm most nights for weeks now.
as of right now i have no plans to have another baby shower. dd and baby #2 will be less than 2 years apart so i already have most of the big stuff i need.
haven't even gotten to schedule my u/s yet

General QOTD:How have you felt this week? - really good! We had our "big" u/s on Tuesday and got to see baby moving around a ton. We got a DVD this time to show DD and she got to see the baby yawn, play with its hands and even do a little wave. She loved it!

Nobody has mentioned anything yet and I won't be surprised if we don't do one. We don't really need anything anyway. I would still like to find a way to celebrate this baby as well, though, without having to do an actual shower.
