We are having a girl this time, so obviously we will need girl clothes. Other than that, I need a new car seat cover (the elastic on the one we used for DS broke the last time we used it), another homedics sound machine, debating whether to get another baby monitor or a video monitor this time around, sheet and crib skirt (she will probably use some of the sheets that DS used, but I want a few in girly colors), another diaper stacker and changing area organizer since DS is still in diapers too, new nipples for the bottles. Other than that, I can't think of much. What is on your list?
DD #1 passed away in January 2011 at 14 days old due to congenital heart disease
DD#2 lost in January 2012 at 23 weeks due to anhydramnios caused by a placental abruption
Re: 2nd timers--what do you need this time around?
Clothes, new nipples and pacis, and an extra crib. We'll reuse the carseat, #2 will be in my room and then will move in with his/her brother so no need for extra sound machine/monitor, no need for a stacker/organizer since we don't use that. I'm sure we'll think of stuff when LO actually arrives, and at that point we'll just go shopping.
mine will be 13 months apart so...
crib
dresser/changing station
double stoller
bigger diaper bag
swing - we borrowed one last time
bouncer - also borrowed
clothes if its a girl
We still have pretty much all of the big stuff, I splurged on an awesome double stroller. I also need some new pacis, socks, bedding, new Moby, a different highchair (didn't like the one we had)...That's about it...I am making new cloth diapers for this one.
We don't know if boy/girl, so, we are still using the neutrals from #1, so will need clothing once baby arrives if it is a little girl. Not too much else...some random things that I think would be great this time around...
Besides clothes and wash cloths and things like that, of course, on our list, some of the things we have are:
New bottles (we have Dr. Brown's but I'd have to buy all new inserts anyway, so figured I'd get all new bottles, but we're gonna wait to see if she likes them first)
Double Stroller
A bottle warmer (didn't have one with DS and I think it'll make life MUCH easier this time around so we're gonna get one)
A new bedding set for her
Changing pad covers (all ours are boy colors)
New pacifiers of course!
A new high chair...I want this one only cause I love the pattern! https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3330191&
A new bath tub
Obviously we need a new convertible car seat since DS is still in his (but that's going to wait a while)
And...I think that's the bulk of it! I'm sure there are more little things, but I think that's mainly what we need.
We don't know gender yet. If it's a boy, clothes. Either way we need:
I think that's it.
The crib I used for my son and daughter without a hitch was recalled so I need a new crib all new bottles and nipples. Some new new outfits for the baby if its a girl. A whole wardrobe if its a boy. I am sure any of my son's cloths I could find would be of little to no use
clothes
double stroller
video monitor (we had angelcare with dd)
bathtub (threw dd's out - didn't want to store it)
bumbo cover (blue instead of dd's pink one)
new bedding
and a few little odds and ends like boyish receiving blankets, boy closet organizers, etc. i'm on the fence about a bumbo cover from etsy and maybe a new bouncy seat. both are pink but i think we can manage! i did a neutral swing, carseat, pack and play, and mostly neutral baby toys.
i registered for everything pink w/ my first....which was so stupid!
the stroller we had was recalled, the pack & play broke and my nephew broke the bouncy seat lol. so either wasy we are buying new & neutral stuff.....we will be getting:
travel system, pack and play, bouncy seat, clothes (bc even if it is another girl the seasons wont match up), bottles, binkys, bath tub, bath stuff and bedding and dresser. we have the crib, swing, high chair and changing table still.

Yeah those are our major concerns. We bought a new car, only to unexpectedly find out that we were pregnant again a few months later. Unfortunately the new car doesn't quite fit the double stroller that matches our current carseat/stroller. So we have to spend $860 on an Uppababy double stroller that will accommodate our old baby car seat with an adapter and folds up very small in the trunk. It's either that or a new, bigger car and my husband thought the Uppababy was more cost effective.
Then we will get a crib but don't have to worry about that for another 9 months when we want to put her in the crib. Our babies are 13 months apart and we just found out yesterday that this second one is a girl. So, initially we will have her wear the green and yellow baby clothes from her older brother (some he was too fat to ever wear anyway). And I am sure even when we tell people that we don't want gifts, they will still buy pink girl clothes.
Swing - ours was just too huge last time. We live a couple hours away from our parents now so we want to get a travel swing.
High Chair - we hated the one we had
Bottles - we moved almost 2 years ago and didn't know when we were going to have another one and where we would store them until we did
Crib Sheets - we just want a couple of extras
Cloth diapers - we didn't CD with DD until she was 7 months so we don't have any newborn diapers
Possibly boy clothes - we're not finding out the gender though
