I personally have been to great beginnings, buy buy baby, bellini and lil lamb shop all looking for furniture. Great beginnings has over like 50 or something in the store and are willing to special order anything from a manufacturer that they carry (advice: if buying from GB... you get 20% off if you join the DC urban mom and dad's list serve... so definitely sign up for that before you go in!). Personal opinion is lil lamb shop is great but only carrys about 3-4 manufacturers and only have about 6 or so in the store for display. Bellini had adorable stuff and mostly all high end. Buy Buy Baby I didn't see a ton of "high end" but honestly, by that point, I was set on the one at great beginnings so I probably don't have an unbiased opinion.
Re: high end furniture stores?
This. There's also a Bellini in Pikesville at Woodholme.

Really? I guess that makes sense...they weren't in a good location. I only went there once and that was over a year ago.
