Re: LO not sleeping thru the night

  • Why is she waking up?  I know my DS has been doing this - He wakes up thirsty a lot (it's dry in our house) so if I keep water nearby, it reduces the amount of time he's awake and he goes back to sleep easier.

Are you bringing her to your bed to sleep when she wakes up?  It sounds like you may have inadvertently created a habit and she's waking up knowing she'll get to go to your bed.  If that's the case, you may have to have some rough nights of screaming/crying ahead of you if you don't bring her to your bed.  Good luck!

  • I have the same sleeping issue. I never thought about my DD being thirsty until my friend said something the other day. I just thought it would be a problem to keep a cup of water in her room when we started potty training. I just don't want to have to brake another habit.
