so I'm thinking of getting a tattoo

I've been thinking about getting a tattoo to represent Will and Dash for a long time - even before they were born. Location probably the inside of my right wrist (I figure I can cover it up with long sleeves or a cuff bracelet if I ever need to). I want either letters or a plain black silhouette and am thinking about either:

Their birthdate in Roman numerals (21.Apr.2010 --> XXIIVMMX and yes I know this isn't a proper translation of the date lol)
ETA: I'm removing this as an option because following a discussion on the Nest board, I've come to the conclusion that even though the concept is fine, in practice it's vaguely Holocaust-y - which is DEFINITELY not my intention!

I like the birds - just curious, do they have any other significance to you or is it just the idea of 2 of the same thing and you happen to think birds look neat?

A bit of both. Smile Sometimes we call the boys "little sparrows" (although those are swallows in the mockup), but I also just like the way they look.

Hm. I couldn't quite vote. I really like the tattoo idea and the birds design looks really nice. But they kind of look like lovebirds to me (especially their positions...looks like they're flirting or gonna kiss soon) so whereas I would've totally voted for it as just a tattoo, it's hard for me to vote for it as a tattoo symbolizing your boys since it looks more like two birds romantically in love rather than two brothers...but maybe it's just me cuz I don't know the difference between sparrows, swallows, or lovebirds. It is a very nice design for a tattoo though!

I kind of thought that too. I like them facing the same way...looks like they are playing together...more "fun" vs. "romance"

See, this is why I ask you guys these things! LOL I'd hate to get a tattoo and then tell people "Yeah, this is for my sons" and they'd be all, "Um, but aren't those birds doin' it?" Stick out tongue

Hahaha yeah, they don't look lovey dovey anymore. I think the direction they're facing really made a difference and now they look like family playing together instead of mating =P so now I can go back to your poll and vote for the birds

Sparrows, I like. Because of Capt Jack Sparrow and the whole pirate thing. I can't quite put my thoughts into comprehensible sentences right now as I just got off work and obviously need to go to bed but I think you'll get my point. :P (I like run on sentences).

I have a bunch of tattoos to say the least and I like the idea of the birds. I thought I would make a suggestion. Since they are symbolizing your boys I'm sure they have different personalities as individuals. I think I heard you mention before that one is more playful and one a little more subdued? Maybe, have one bird flying and one bird perched.
