ok, i keep getting a rash on my neck. i called my obgyn's office and the girl who answered said....WE DON'T TREAT RASHES. I think I had posted that before and I told her, i knew she didn't but needed to know what I needed to do and what I could apply.
I go to a derm today and got a very low dose steriod cream. He told me to contact her and clear it with her before I started. Well, I called at 1:30, left a message and now it is almost 7 and NO phone call back.
Another issue...Last Wed i went in and gave a sample bc i thought I had a bladder infection. Fri and noon, still no call, still burning so i called, they were gone. spoke with doc on call. he called me in meds. went in monday for my normal check up & she said everything was neg and to stop, took a swab and said i looked red down there. they would have results in 48 hours but if I didn't hear from them then everything is fine. How can everything be fine when my (you know what) is on fire!!! Then after today not calling about the cream...I really do think I need to find someone else quick!!!
Am I just being bitchy or would you look into another doc????
Re: need new obgyn..
Unless there is something you really like about this place that you think would be hard to find elsewhere, I would switch. I don't want to have a heart to heart with my health care provider about how it would be really great if they could return my calls. They get quite a lot of money for each patient. If they don't have the common sense and courtesy to call me, I'll find someone else. ESPECIALLY when dealing with possible vaginal infections during pregnancy. As far as I can tell, drs get pretty concerned about that. And even if it isn't a big health risk to you or baby, who wants to be uncomfortable for days on end? I'd switch now because I've heard it gets more complicated later in the pregnancy.
For your possible infection: I'd lay off sugar and fruit for a few days and load up on probiotics and pure cranberry juice (not the kind that has other juices or any sugar, just cranberries and water). Doing that will help with a yeast infection or a UTI.
GL and feel better!
I would get a new one for sure!
