TTC After a Loss 6 Months+

would it be inappropriate........

to bring a flask to my nephews b-day party tonight?  I'll be meeting our newest nephew for the first time......he's a whole 2 weeks old.  So glad it will be out in public so all can witness a possible breakdown.  I think the flask will make it better.

is that so wrong?

  • I think, under the circumstances, a flask is a MUST! Consider it "auntie's sippy cup." :-)

  • Hey, if they're not serving beer & wine flask it up!  (Which, BTW, I did see this is a kids bday party....I fully think adults get to drink at the kids party's.  It's a must).

  • Do what you gotta do, hon.

When DH and I went to see my new niece for the first time we literally drove around the block about 7 times while I tried to compose myself.  We pulled over in a church parking lot because that wasn't working.  We were close to an hour late.  And I couldn't hold the baby.

I'm sure they'll understand.  I hope they do, anyway.
