When did you/will you tell close family?

I was planning to tell family after my 1st appt. Today while talking to my sister she told me she has a weird feeling that I am pregnant, etc. and that she noticed I've been avoiding caffeine. I seriously cannot keep lying to her, so I think we may just tell her and my BIL before the 1st appt, but I'm a bit nervous about it.

We told our parents at four weeks, our brothers at eight weeks. Our grandparents will all know by the time I'm 10 weeks and then we'll tell the world two weeks later.

We're being extremely weird. We're waiting until Thanksgiving to tell family, which will put me at around FIFTEEN weeks. I feel a little bad about it, but we wanted to keep it to ourselves for awhile. I just feel that other people's pregnancies went SO much faster when I found out later. I have one friend that told as SOON as she found out, literally, and it just felt like her pregnancy lasted forever.

We told close family at 8 weeks. Friends much later. I still have not told the majority of our circle of friends. No one I work with knows, either. I don't think it's that difficult to hide.

We're planning to wait until Christmas. I'll be 15 weeks. Both sides of our family have big Christmas' with all the extended family that live close (aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents) and we want to be able to tell them all at the same time. Hopefully we can both contain ourselves that long...we'll see!

We are thinking about waiting to tell everyone Thanksgiving weekend... putting me at 18W!?

I can say this now, but I know that we won't last that long without telling. My SIL text messaged me this morning asking if I was going to bring a pregnant belly to their house for Thanksgiving!?

Our first appt. is Wednesday, and I'm pretty sure some fam will be called that evening ?

We waited until my first u/s at 9 weeks to tell close family. I told a couple friends at work at 6 weeks because I work in a group home and there are some things I can't do on my own now, like lifting the residents. We are waiting to tell everyone else until the 2nd tri. Not too long now!

We told close family and friends right away. ?It is fun sharing the excitement and because of my previous losses it's nice having supportive people know if anything happens. ?We'll tell everyone else when we're out of the first trimester.

We found out today that I'm 5 weeks tomorrow. We really want to wait until the first doctor apt to make sure everything looks good before we spill the good news! Our families are going to pee their pants with excitment!

we have already had one loss so we chose to tell parents right away so they can know what we are going through and pray for us continually. If we were to lose this pregnancy as well, we would need their support anyway. Everyone else will have to wait until we get close to ending our first trimester.

I have a big mouth. My family and inner circle of friends knew anywhere between 1 hour to 4 days of me finding out @ 4 weeks. Same with him, but he would've kept it a secret if I had.

Haha! We told our parents and siblings the min the home pregnancy test came up positive. I waited until after the 1st dr's appt to tell other close relatives and some very close friends. I couldnt keep my mouth shut! I mean everone of those people are more then likely to tell at least one person and it will keep going on that way untill everyone knows.
However, i havent told my boss yet... I should prolly do that soon!

We waited until 12 weeks...I had a miscarriage in December at 6 weeks so we wanted to wait until the end of the first trimester before telling anyone. It was difficult keeping the secret but well worth the wait...telling everyone has been so much fun.

So far we've only told a couple of my close friends and my parents, but this is only because I am going home to visit them (by myself, w/o hubby or we would have done it together when we arrived) and the fact that I won't be drinking will be a DEAD give away

But, we are waiting to tell everyone else after our u/s at 10 weeks. I wish I could wait until I'm clear out of the first trimester but I just can't hold it in any longer!!!
