We are considering turning our third bedroom into a playroom, mainly to keep my living room from looking like I am running a daycare lol. What kind of storage do you find helpful in a playroom, if you have one?
I wish! We seriously have toys in every room. The living room? Forget it. Geoffrey the Giraffe designed it himself. Even in our master bath, since that's where J plays while I get ready in the mornings.
We have a 3rd bedroom, but it has to stay a bedroom since all of our family lives OOT...and it's not big enough to serve as both
This has to be a temporary solution for us. Our house is going on the market in October and the house we are looking at building actually has space for a playroom and I am excited about that..but until then I need to do something lol.
We have something similar to this https://tinyurl.com/2vod668that DH made and mounted on the wall. It's filled with these https://tinyurl.com/32cafoo but in cute pink and green colors. We got our bins at Target, I think they were about $5 or $6 each.
We use ours in the closet for socks, burp cloths, ruffle butts, hats, bibs, and blankets. They are really big and will fit a bunch of stuff!

I actually have the 8 cubbie version of this in her closet with bins that match her colors in her room that I keep spare blankets, shoes, etc in. I didn't think about getting one for her play area but that would actually be a really good idea! Thanks!
We turned one of our bedrooms into a playroom. It's nothing spectacular, but it does the job. I thought I would have a mural painted in there or at least get a cute phrase to stick on the wall, but it still hasn't happened. I would love to get some really great storage/wall units from PBK or IKEA, but we haven't done that either! It's easy for me to let things like that get away from me unless I do it all at once in the very beginning. Right now, there is a toy box, a upright plastic storage unit, a lower plastic storage unit with bins, a hanging thing for the stuffed animals and then the 2 benches that came with the train table hold stuff too. I keep all the baby toys that he has outgrown like the pooh train and push alongs in the walk-in closet along with his crafty things like play-doh and crayons and stuff. Here are a few pics:
Awesome thank you Monica. I am looking for something similar for this house. I am thinking nice wall units and stuff for the new house though but I am just looking for something on a less expensive scale for this one. Thanks for the pictures they really help on seeing how you organized it.
I would check out ikea.com, they have super cute storage stuff-some that is similar to what is in Monica's picture. Maybe also other closetmaid items... I am totally planning on getting a cube organizer like in the PP for LO's room. I love the idea.

same here! his nursery is kind of a playroom, though...he can make the biggest mess of toys in there
