Please recommend where you like to nurse in area malls

I am thinking some of you more experienced moms might know exactly which area department stores have the best lounges for nursing (I'm guessing Nordstroms, for example, but really don't know) and even what floors they are on.  This might be helpful for some of us newer moms as we deal with trying to quickly feed hungry babies while shopping.  I should mention that I am normally okay with NIP but am a teacher and really don't want to come across my students while I'm nursing.  Malls are prime middle school territory...

  • I certainly have no advice or recommendations, but I too would not like to be nursing in front of my students, so I can hear you there! I would guess Nordies too, but I'd love to hear of other options??

  • When I am in a store like Kohls that doesn't have benches, I go to the dressing rooms. Some are better than others, but I haven't done a lot of shopping lately so I'm not sure which. I am pretty sure maternity stores like Motherhood have areas or at least dressing rooms for nursing. I do just nurse on the benches in the middle with a cover, but as a former teacher I understand completely. Good luck!

  • The Nordstrom's ladies lounges are great.

Also some malls have "family" bathrooms that are worth checking out w/ couches and if you want more privacy dressing room like stalls to nurse in.  I don't think middle schoolers would be hanging around the toddler play area either, so even if your baby is too young for it, you could camp out there as well.
