It started Sunday... I was out running and suddenly the front wheel of my awesome BOB Ironman popped off! Eek! Luckily the stroller did not turn over and Alexa was totally fine. But I couldn't get the wheel back on and we were 1.5 miles from home.... So I had to tilt the stroller back onto the back two wheels and wheel her home like a wheel barrel or rickshaw! Her reaction? She fell asleep. Luckily DH fixed it, in like 2 seconds.
Then on Monday... I got a call from daycare an hour after dropping Alexa off... She was BIT by another baby over a toy! I couldn't concentrate all day and eventually took her home early. She has a red mark and bruise on her back. Poor baby! :-(
And on Tuesday... I get all the way to my office, which is about 45-60 mins from our house, when I realize that I had forgotten all of my pump parts in a ziploc on the kitchen counter. Doh! It was a really busy day so I couldn't get home until about 3pm. I felt pressure, but when I pumped I only got 2 oz. Arg. The end is near
Today? So far so good... Took Alexa in to the Dr for a weight check and she is 19 lbs, 3 oz. Still in the 25th percentile. And now she's sleeping. I hope the daily drama has stopped for a while!
As you were. Thanks for letting me share. :-)
Re: Vent: Lots of drama! Broken stroller, biting, oh my!
I can't believe another baby bit her though! That's brutal! I didn't think babies that young would do that! Geez! Poor thing! Does the kid get any kind of repercussion for biting?
Eeek, on top of everything's that's happened, forgetting your pump parts must've been even more stressful than normal (although that's pretty stressful in and of itself). I'm glad today has been a better day! Hope the good days continue!
Well of course I forgot my cell phone! Doh! DH was away for the weekend anyway but my friend had stayed over and I totally would have called her to come rescue us. Everyone was staring at us and since Alexa was sleeping, I got some funny looks and neighbors worried that she was OK!

wow!! that's a lot of stuff all at once....they say things happen in 3's
that's crazy that another kid bit her over a toy! at first i thought you were going to say she bit you or something but that's good that she isn't the one misbehaving!
i think stress can affect your supply so if you were stressing all day over work or the fact that you forgot your pump parts at home, that would decrease it. plus have you replaced your membranes lately? i've also heard on the BFing board that how much you pump is not an accurate reflection of your supply just b/c baby is so much more efficient at nursing than your pump is at pumping! i know your supply very well may be dwindling, but just trying to play devil's advocate
and as an aside... i can't believe alexa is almost 1! do you have big plans for her birthday?

I totally got a visual of you walking back wheeling your girl home. Too funny. It must have been a comfy ride for Alexa since she fell asleep. The wheel on our stroller had a flat one time at the mall but luckily we had the air pump with us so DH was able to add air to it, or so I thought. He added too much air so the tube popped leaving us with a flat. We got so many crazy looks from everyone that day.....
I'm sorry she got bit at daycare....ouch! Poor baby.
Hope your luck turns soon
I can't even imagine running, I haven't done much to get back in shape after having Bella. I dropped the weight and that was the end of it! After this one, I think I'll need to take your lead and get a double jogger so I can get my butt in gear! Although I'd have BEGGED someone for a cell to help me, there's no way I would've pulled the broken stroller all that way! Go girl!
I can believe she was bit, unfortunately. It happens, Kids are kids and they bit until they understand not to. Kids at Bella's daycare stick their fingers in each other's mouths and bit and Bella thinks it's the funniest thing... ugh!!
2 oz?? That's it? Maybe it's because you stressed all day after not having your parts... my supply is MAJORLY down. So much so that I'm not even pumping until right before I leave work. I'd like to just nurse Bella when I'm home with her and then on my working days nurse her before and after work. We usually get the before one in but the after one she's already in bed so I have to pump... I only got 3 oz after ALL day!! Frustrating but true. I did buy an extra set of pump parts and just keep them at work to prevent having left them or something.
Sorry for your frustrations!! Sometimes we all just have one of those weeks, hopefully your drama is over for awhile!!
