Another BFN! :-( Advice needed!

in Trying to Get Pregnant
Crying  I tested a week ago, 3 days before my expected period and got a BFN with 1st Response EPT waited until today which is 3 days past my expected period and still nothing.  I'm disappointed to say the least.  I don't get it, I really thought I was pregnant.  Any advice?  Has anyone gotten repeated negatives and actually been pregnant?

    HPTs don't lie. Sorry. Chances are you just ovulated late, out bodies are lame and a lot of AF symptoms mimic pregnancy symptoms. Hang in there and keep testing until AF, a BFP, or you reach 60 days, then give your doctor a  call. 

    Did you just get off BCP? Also, pick up a copy of Taking Charge of your fertility, and start charting with fertility friend.com (through my siggy) it is extremely helpful  in taking all the "what ifs" out of TTC. GL

    Perhaps you ovulated late or maybe you are pregnant with a strange alien life form that does not cause your body to create HCG?

    you might be better off posting this on the 1st tri board, a lot of us on TTGP have never been pregnant and therefore have no experience with positive tests...

    I agree with PP .. charting is the best way to know what is going on with your body.  I read a bunch of books before TTC and TCOYF is the best one.  It's up front and honest.  I didn't chart for part of our first cycle and wish I had, this cycle I am learning sooooo much.

    Do you know when you ovulated? Are you charting? if not it's difficult to tell if you are truly "late". Are you just off of BCP? if so it could take awhile for you cycles to regulate. If AF comes trying charting with Fertility friend - you can get there by clicking on the tickers in anyone's siggy.

    If your not charting please do yourself a favor and DO IT. I was the my cycles are blah blah and they actually do change. Good luck and welcome!

    What the hell was that about??  I iust posted this a half hour ago!  I will take one of the PP advice and post this in the 1st tri board.  And, yes, I have been charting and I know exactly when I ovulated.  Thanks for the advice.

    Psst. She told us she charts... just not BBT. Apparently knowing when your last period started is considered charting to some.
