Should we have an "automated response"?

Maybe we could have an already written explanation to copy and paste of why it's not considered so polite for someone to announce their BFP on this board when they haven't been posting here. And one for the "AF is 5 days late but the HPT says I'm not pregnant. Am I?" ones.

Seriously, it would be so...efficient.

    BabyFruit Ticker TTC #2 since March 2010. 2 LOSSES ... c/p - Dec 2010. Ectopic - March 2011. Me: 35; DH: 34 DX: DOR, egg quality issues ; DH - all normal FSH 10.1, Estradiol 21.8, AMH 0.49 IVF #1 (Oct/Nov 2011) (Antagonist with BCP's)- 5R, 0 eggs to transfer CD3 b/w by same RE 1/2012: FSH 6, AMH 1.4...wtf?? IVF #2 (Apr 2012) EPP/Antagonist with ICSI - 10R, 7M, 6 ICSI'd, 2F. 3DT = BFN AMH tested by new RE 6/2012 - 2! Saving money for IVF #3. Started a ton of supplements in May 2012 and hoping for a miracle! SURPRISE BFP!! (October 2012)

    It would be nice if there were templates on composing a response! Lately I look at the post and go back to the board. I have nothing else to say since everyone else has said it before me.

    My first few days lurking I was thinking so many people were being a little bit rude, but after spending soooo much time on this board I totally get it. It does get old very quickly.

    Seriously, it would be so...efficient.

    A while back, someone suggested simply saying "Yes." to that question with no further text. It's quite efficient and rather funny.

    This board is full of the most patient women of all time!! I have to sift through all the junk just to find something interesting (ie. a post that helps me get to know people better!)

    If only there was a way to make someone answer a brief survey before being allowed to access this board...

    1) Have you been to this board before? If yes, please proceed to question #2. If not, #3.

    2)  If so, how many times? If greater than 20, you have been granted access. If less than 20, proceed to #3.

    3) Did you take a pregnancy test and is it positive? If yes, BANNED from TTGP, please see First Tri.  If not, you are being directed to the TTGP board rules.  Please read and acknowledge you understand and will follow these rules.  After you do this you can now access the TTGP boards.

    Same! It didn't take me long to realize that I'd act the same way, though, if I had been trying for months and someone stopped by to let me know she's pregnant after being 30 seconds late taking her birth control pill. It's not hard to read the title of the board and see that it's for people who are in the process of trying to get pregnant; not those who are newly pregnant.

    I still don't feel like I'm known much on here, but I've been posting quote a bit. I don't want to spam so I just comment when I see fit. I'm still afraid people would be like "...who?" if I posted a bfp! ha.

    hey Fay, there IS a sticky post---you just have to order the posts according to last post date.

    But agreed, it would be nice if it stayed up there no matter HOW you organized it.

    As for having a 'set' response. I'm against it b/c I love the opportunity to snark and I enjoy reading the other posters replies. But YOU can have a set answer. "Yes" is always good, as Bex pointed out.
