I think I pulled a muscle in my back.
Today Jack and I went to lunch with my SM. When we were coming out of the restaurant, I had him in his infant carrier, which is a mega pain in the ass to carry. I had a major infection/incision situation in June, and was told to do absolutely no heavy lifting, especially the baby in his carrier, until 6 months, but my SM is a teeny tiny woman and really can't carry him. I figured, what difference will a month make?
I forgot that when you haven't done any heavy lfiting at all for 5 months, it makes a lot of difference. While trying to get his carrier up into her SUV, I think I pulled a muscle around the back of my ribcage area on the left side, and now that I'm chilling at home, my incision is bright red and sore.
Good grief. Does it never end? How long do I have to pay for this?!

Re: Owwww...
OMG! Look at how big he is! And how sweet of Gabe for helping him sit.
I just love your boys.
I agree, I take LO out and leave it in the car if he isn't sleeping.
I feel you. Jack's halfway to 6 now and today I went to work with SM to show him off. All the ladies in her office kept saying "OMG, he's HUGE. Such a CHUNK. What a BIG BOY. Not a little baby!" It made me sad.
And, I am so excited too! I can't wait for your taxes to come in!!!
I do this unless we are going into a place where he won't have a place to sit, like the store or a restaurant. And usually Bun is with me, so he can do the hauling.
Sorry you got hurt!
I usually don't use the infant carrier, that's DH job most of the time, but when I do have to take her in it I use a snap n'go.
and probably J will be out of the carrier soon, and the investment is not worthy at this point in time... maybe you can find one on craiglist or something.
