I had my scheduled c-section yesterday morning at 38 weeks 2 days. We arrived at our scheduled time or 7:30 am. We prepped, answered about 4 millions questions and met a bunch of personnel. Then at 9:30 am we walked back to the OR. I had my head down waiting for the spinal pretty quickly so not looking around helped me from not freaking out. It felt like there were 30 people in there, but DH says more like 12. After the spinal was in, I laid down to put in the cathedar.
Apparently baby A's butt had pushed my bladder out of the way and they were having a hard time getting a catherdar placed. It took around 30 minutes and 5 people to get that taken care of. While it was annoying just laying there, it kind of made me relax and gave me time to get used to the numbness. Once my DH came in, my OB asked "Nicole did you feel that?", I said feel what and they all laughed so off we went.
I mostly kept my eyes closed and just concentrated on breathing. The spinal made me feel like it was hard to breathe, even though I know it wasn't. It was also weird to feel the tugging/pressure.
At 10:11 am, Elise Nicole came out butt first weighing 6 pounds 11 ounces, 19 inches long. Followed by Carter James (who was a wailer) at 6 pounds 4 ounces, 19 inches long. Elise looks so much bigger than Carter, even though I know he will catch up.
Here are a couple pics:

Aubrey met her siblings later in the afternoon yesterday. It went better than I thought it would, but I am sure she still won't fully understand what is happening until we bring them home and they don't go away.
They are currently sleeping away. I forgot how sleepy they are the first days. I am actually pretty dang bored. But that is good for the rest and healing now!
