Good morning ladies!
My friend from elementary school named her precious little one Lodidyn.
I've never heard this name before, and assume it's made up.
Not sure how it's pronounced, since I've only seen it written.
Any guesses as to whether it's a boy or girl?

It's a boy. NN is Lodi, btw. The reason I ask for people's first gender reaction is because I posted a comment on one of the pictures that SHE was precious! LOL. Quickly noticed my mistake a couple photos later and deleted the comment, but not sure if it went unnoticed.
Re: How about a nice facebook catastrophe to start our day?
Gun to my head, I'd guess girl, because people like to toss that "y" in there to feminize stupid names.
Left to my own devices, I wouldn't have guessed anything at all. If I had to comment, it would be "great picture" or something pretty neutral.

LMAO... yes it does! That's horrible!
LOL good thinking! I'll keep that in mind for next time. Even though I was sure it was a girl at the time. It didn't even cross my mind that it could be a boy's name. These days you never can tell.
On a similar note, Logan for a girl never would have crossed my mind until I watched "Growing Up Twisted" the other day, and learned that is Dee Snider's granddaughter's name. They are getting her started early on that whole "twisted" thing.
Yes...this! ICK!
I also guessed girl because of the Y. Usually when people want the -don sound on a girl, they put in a y: like London vs Londyn or Jordan vs Jordyn. (yes, it's horrible.)
It also does sound like a prescription drug. LOL! Of course, the same trends that name drugs are the ones pushing trendy baby names.
Finally, I guess I should check out facebook and see what horrible baby names I can find. You gals get all the fun!
And as for Logan as a girls' name, I saw a birth announcement recently (B&W) and was sure it was a boy, because the infant's name looked like it was "Hunter Alexander." Looked closer: Hunter Alexandra. Hunter? Srsly?
Lodi sounds like a scandanavian name, or a nickname for something unusual (like a Ludwig who goes by Ludi, for example), but Lodidyn? Oh lord, i feel bad for that boy's kindergarten teacher!
Wow, I thought for sure girl with the DYN, but the number of D's should have tipped me. Still, what the heck? All it needs is an apostrophe.
The only thing I can figure is that it's some bizare family name or it was inspired by the Lodi Dynasty...Lodi DYN...Lodidyn. I sincerely hope that's not going to be a trend a la LYN.
