new to the board
Hey everyone this is my first post on here. I had no idea that there was local groups on here. Do a lot of you know one another or is this just strangers posting? I have lived in AL for a few years and bedsides my husband I really don't know anyone. I am discovering that being pregnant is even more lonely then before. I am from Minnesota and haven't really branched out since moving down south. Any tips for surviving the insane heat down here while pregnant???

I hear you girl on the being lonely while pregnant. Most of the girls here are really nice and there is no drama like on the national boards. There are tons of ladies in the Bham area too and I'm pretty sure they do get togethers. Stay indoors with good AC is my only advice.

A lot of us have been posting together since we were on the nest, so we've "known" each other for a few years. We have get togethers in our different parts of the state, so several of us have met IRL.

Welcome to the board! I'm up in the Huntsville area but we have a lot of ladies down in the B'ham area. Like Amy said a lot of us used to be on the Nest and just transferred over to hear as we started TTC, got pregnant, and had babies.
The air conditioner is your best friend in this heat. I was pregnant last summer and yeah I stayed indoors as much as possible lol! Good luck with your pregnancy!
