It's been a little while since I've flown (and I haven't with a baby)...it is ok to bring a snack cup with puffs or cheerios? Just wondering what they allow these days.
The whole airline thing is so confusing...you can't bring a tube of lipgloss (had to throw mine out in at the Las Vegas airport) yet they allow baby bottles with water? I totally understand the fact that it's for a baby and they have to eat etc...but the rules are crazy these days.
You can bring anything baby related through. I flew with a bunch of DD's baby food and bottles with water for her formula without any problems.
I saw online that you can bring all that stuff, I just wasn't sure about other snacks....since they didn't really say anything about that.
I really don't see how that's different from you bringing your own bag of chips or cookies. It's not in liquid form so it doesn't matter. If you bring formula/BM or jarred food you need to declare before it goes through the detector. They'll then take it and inspect it a bit more without opening things. I've never had a problem.
All non-liquid food is allowed, whether for adults or children. For babies, they allow liquids beyond your 3oz in a baggie as well. But they have the option of testing it at security. I had juice, breastmilk and several jars of baby food with me when I flew last week. Thankfully I didn't have to open my frozen block of breastmilk for testing, but they did a chemical test with a drop of juice. Just wanting to make sure that my apple juice is not an explosive!

Oh yeah, we brought a whole container of Puffs and other snacks on board without a problem.
