Hi all, I have been reading other peoples first doctor appts and I think I missed something at mine. I went to my family doctor at about 6weeks 1day, the doc did a PAP and sent me on my way. As I was getting in the elevator he came back out of his office and called me back, told the recpetionist to get me paper work for blood test and a U/S. Turns out half the paper work she needed was in his office and he'd already gone in with another patient so she gave me one form to take down to the U/S lab to make a appt while I waited. DH and I went down and the lady there said it was missing one of the sheets so she made me an appt for 12 weeks and said to go back up and get the other sheet. So we went back up and the receptionist eventually gave me a sheet for bloodwork and the 2nd sheet the U/S people needed. I wasn't sure which was which so I gave the U/S both sheets and she was going to check with her partner which sheets she needed and her partener was on the phone and just glanced over and nodded and said thanks and sent me away....but after we left I found it really weird that the U/S people would keep my blood work sheet...and that I hadn't had anything done to officially confirm my pregnancy....
So long story short....do you think I was supposed to get blood work done and the U/S people were just frazzled and took all the paper work by mistake? or does it make sense that I go back and get the U/S done and the blood work done both at 12weeks. The blood lab and the Ultrasound/Xray lab are separate in the clinic so it just doesn't seem right to me......
anyways, I'm 7weeks 2days now so yay!
(so so sorry if this is really confusing lol, I'm too tired to try and reword it better)
