Poll: Recommend your mat./baby/family photographer (I'll make a list)
I'd be happy to put an exhaustive list together of photographers folks recommend on here. I see the question asked a lot, and I've saved a few threads here and there, but it would be nice to have a DC Baby Photographer list, n'est-ce pas?
(I have a selfish reason for doing this too - when baby #3 comes I think we may FINALLY give in and spend the $$ to have some professional photos taken of the kids... so come December or January I'll be needing this info!! 
)

Fellow Bumpie - Amber "Little Moon Photography" can not recommend her highly enough. She is well worth the money we spent. We have another session coming up for J's 6month pictures and I can't wait!!

Mine is out of Richmond, Joelle Photography. Joelle is fantastic and affordable. There is no print fee - the photos are yours.
I know some Richmond folks lurk here and she may be a resource for bumpies who live in "southern" NoVA.

We used Heather Neely for ours and LOVED our maternity session with her. Our newborn session with her was great too - considering baby girl SCREAMED through the ENTIRE SESSION (oh the joys of undiagnosed acid reflux... thank heaven baby girl is better now!). The pictures don't even look like she had been crying. We're about to do another session with her and are really excited!
I highly recommend Deborah McCann. She was so great when DS was a newborn and completely uncooperative! We've been very pleased every time she has taken pictures.

I didn't use her for newborn pictures, but she does them, I used Kimberly Coughlin, https://www.kimberlycoughlinphotography.com/ and she was fantastic. It was $150 for the session, which was about 1 hour, 45 minutes and countless pictures. After that you get a CD of high-res images to print where ever your wish, plus she offers a DVD slideshow of the images set to music for $60 (additional copies are $25 I think). She does offer printing services and some specialized items, but no pressure to buy prints or anything through her. She was awesome with my DS and the pictures turned out wonderfully. She gave me time to change his shirt, and the whole session was so relaxed and fun. Can't wait to do another one. Carla Whitaker did DS's 1 and 2 year portraits. We didn't do newborn pics.

She's down in Stafford though, so it might be too far for lots of people. She was great with DS, even though he isn't the most willing subject (stranger anxiety =/= good portraits).
Unfortunately, I don't know her current prices. DS's 2 year portraits were free b/c he won a photo contest she was running on FB. We DID get a CD of all of the images for both sessions though.
