Houston Babies

How often do you get fresh pajamas and what do you do with them?

For LO, not yourself!

Do you put clean pajamas on LO every night? Or does LO wear the same pair for several nights (assuming they don't get dirty with food, milk, or diaper leaks.)?

If LO wears them more than once, what do you do with the PJs during the day?

  • I put her PJs on the changing table for later that night

  • I didn't know that it was an option not to wear fresh PJs.  If I reused PJs, we could go months without doing laundry....hmmmm....

  • At my MIL's house... new ones every night b/c dog hair and ickiness get on them from the floor (she inevitably gets dirty before they change her... on the weekends when it's me getting her dressed, we get dressed immediately after breakfast).  When we live out on our own, she usually wears the same ones for a night or two before we switch them... Unless they DO get dirty.

    This.

She probably goes through 2 sleepers a week, sometimes 3.

  • The boys eat breakfast in their PJs so we go with fresh ones nightly. Even if they didn't, we probably still would since I wear fresh PJs nightly too. It's just kind of ritualistic at this point. When we travel, typically we have bfast in the hotel restaurant so they wear the PJs a couple nights in a row and we usually put them under the pillows until the next night. If we wore them over again at home, we would probably do the same.

Same here. And I put them either on her changing table to hang them on the edge of her crib along with her sleep sack.

  • When DS was in sleepers he had so many that I would put him in a new one every night.  He doesn't have quite as many light weight summer sets so he will wear them 2 nights each.  I generally will put it on his changing table but other times it will end up in other parts of the house if we change him somewhere else.

  • I can not resist buying cute pj's so they're fresh ones every night. I think I can go over two weeks without washing any.

  • We generally wear pj's for 2 nights and keep them under the pillow.  However, lately Hannah has been having more overnight pull-up pee, and that stuff STINKS by the morning, and as a result, so do her pj's.

  • I've always freshly laundered nightly for my LOs, but really am thinking of going a couple nights.  As babies they definitely needed to be changed daily, but now its really not necessary, and our pajamas are our most worn out clothes.

Same here.  When DS was smaller, I put new jammies on him every night.  On the weekends he eats breakfast in his jammies so we get new ones every night but during the week we go 2-3 days.
