Does it bother anyone else?
When people name call and say awful things to eachother on the bump. I just can't believe how out of hand some things get concerning the silliest posts sometimes. I'm thankful this board doesn't seem to have any of the crazy drama. I think it's especially strange when someone writes hateful mean things to another mother and then their siggy has them holding their adorable baby and smiling... I think twice now about the things I say and think about other people because of my child and it doesn't stop just because I'm supposedly annonymous on the internet.

I think this is why I've been on the bump for 3 years and only just really started posting. Can't believe it took 3 years of lurking, 1 engagement, and 2 babies to not be afraid of getting flamed for everything.
I find it pretty obnoxious! I mostly just stick to this board because all the other ones seem to have the people that just have to rain on everyones parade. I agree with pp if you don't like a post, just ignore it! Sometimes the drama can be entertaining though!
It really doesn't bother me, because it seems that if you lurk and get the flavor of a board first, you won't get flamed, and even if you do, it's just the internet, who cares.
That said it also probably doesn't bother me because I stick to the more "tender-heart" boards where people are more friendly. We each have our own preferences and there should be room for everyone. And the snarkier boards are much more fun to read. I just wouldn't want to post on them.
Well, it doesn't really bother me, because I enjoy *some* drama. It can be really entertaining!
And FWIW, about that thread you linked, what you have to realize is those women have a looooong history. Some major drama went down between a lot of those posters, and obviously they are holding grudges.
I went through the tri boards with all of them last time, as well as the month boards, so I know the whole back story. ::Shrugs:: A lot of the name calling and accusations in that particular thread make sense to me, and I agree with a lot of it.
There are definitely bumpies out there with longstanding beefs. It's just like everywhere else in life: not everyone is going to get along. However, it does make for entertainment on a boring night.
I agree with OP....but I've never been one to get involved in all the BS and it's a big reason I don't have a lot of girlfriends. Girls can be catty (however that's spelled) over the stupidst things. If someone posts something that I think is stupid or dumb I ignore it...I find no reason to bash someone. I really don't how a group of girls on a message board could hate eachother that much from posts on a message board and never having met.
There are a group of girls on every board that seem to be the ones that gang up on eachother and I'm just amazed that at the age most of us are that woman still do this, for god's sake I'm 29 yr old and really don't care that much to get that involved in any of that.
It doesn't bother me...I think from reading that you can see that there is a history there. When you have a HUGE group of people from all different backgrounds there is bound to be some conflict whether it be on a message board or IRL.
Also people are posting on here for entertainment purposes. Some want to stir the pot and cause drama. I don't participate but I enjoy reading it!!!
