Sorry to be a PW, but seriously, you 2ww ladies go POAS and I'm sending you my luck today!

I went to the dinner meeting for our conference and it was amazing!! They had such awesome things to say, I got recognized by the board for being one of the best program directors in the state, and they announced to all of the state program directors that my program was in one of the top 50 in the nation!!

Then the GA State Commissioner came over to talk to me, told me that he was exceptionally impressed with what I'm doing and said that we should have our next meeting on the island I work on. EEK!! I'm so excited because this program was my baby from the ground up and all this is happening in our first year!! A lot of times it gets overlooked on the island itself, but state and national recognition is a perfect little morale boost. Horray!!

It's an AmeriCorps program. It's a national service based program focusing on sea turtle rehabilitation, research and conservation education. The center I work for has been open for three years, but we needed to do something for our internship program or we were going to lose it. So I wrote the grant and we got it and I moved from the vet staff to managing it.
