RE: The foam mats in Libby's room

do puncture with high heels...*sigh*

I wore a chunky heel on them last week and it just made an indentation, but came out. Yesterday?  I wore more pointed heels and yep, made an indentation, but they did not come out.  Luckily, I only walked on one square, I will swap it out for one that is under our rocking chair.  Just an FYI...

Re: RE: The foam mats in Libby's room

  • Since she's playing and/or crawling on the squares..... You might consider NO SHOES on them at all. You don't want to track yucky germs from outside onto a surface that she touches, and then puts her hands in her mouth...

At daycare, they don't allow ANY outside shoes into the rooms where the infants are. The rooms have foam floor for the babies to crawl on. You have to put disposable booties over your shoes or buy a pair of house shoes that you keep there and use only for walking in and out of the baby room.

    Just a thought!

  • I know, I know!  We are shoe free but I was in a rush and dashed in there for just a second and my heel touched one of the mats.  Bad mommy!  They've already been cleaned and I have vowed not to wear shoes on them again...her room is generally shoe-free, but like I said, I dashed in there quickly to grab something.
  • Haha, I know! I've done that too... The carpeted areas in our house are shoe free too, but it's hard when you are rushing out the door and forget ONE thing that you  need to grab quickly! :-)
