Machine wash separately?

I just bought a few shirts for DS that say machine wash cold separately.  Do I seriously need to wash them separately from other colors (if washing in cold?)

One is a mustard yellow shirt and one is blue striped.

TIA!

Re: Machine wash separately?

  • If anything, I would wash them seperately the first time. That way the colors won't bleed onto any other clothes. You should be okay after that.

  • I would probably wash them with things you know won't bleed and/or don't mind if they get bled onto.

When we buy something that says that (usually red) we wash it with older towels the first time.
