Still pregnant ...

Apparently my children like to stay put as long as possible! I was induced with Quinn at 41 weeks and I will likely be induced with this little boy on Friday or Saturday. Even though I've been in early labor since Friday with pretty regular yet mild contractions, they aren't doing anything and I'm still only 1/2cm dilated, soft, and 50% effaced. The baby's head is down but he hasn't really dropped yet. The dr stripped my membranes at my appointment yesterday but all that did was cause more mild contractions and cramping.
My inlaws came up from FL yesterday to help with Quinn so that is a huge relief and one less thing to worry about when the time comes. I'm still working and trying to keep my mind off of waiting for this baby.
Hopefully my drs office will call today to let me know which day they've scheduled my induction for but I would still really love to go into labor on my own before that time.

Hope everyone is having a great Tuesday! It is hotter up here in MD (100 degrees!) than it is in SoFL today so I'm super jealous of your 80 degree weather :-)

    Oh Allison!  Enjoy these last few days of a family of three.  Maybe go out to a special dinner to celebrate baby's upcoming arrival?  Hope you are feeling well overall... and enjoy having the family over.  I'm sure it is a relief to have some add'l help.  GL!

    Oh Allison your children seriously love being snuggled up in there. lol Awwww...well I am sending you labor dust and hopefully you go in sooner than needing to be induced. Glad your inlaws are there to help though.

    You make a cozy cocoon for your little people! :) He has no idea what he is missing by staying in there. I am going to continue to send you labor dust...I hope that membrane stripping thing (ugh, sounds kind painful!) works and you go into labor on your own within the next day or so. Its possible he was just waiting for his grandparents to show up! :)

    Good luck Allison!! And I agree, try to enjoy the family of 3 for the last few days before the new bundle of joy comes! I must say that I had an amazing time with my hubby and Evan just before Ethan came. And even though I was ansy for his arrival, I was able to spend some very nice quality time with them! ;)

    Elevated Alpha 2-glycoprotein IgA and antiphosphatidylserine IgM -->
    Hematologist said not to worry and no need for treatment!

    Dx: LPD
    Cycle #1(08/2012): Clomid 50 mg CD3-7, Ovidrel CD13 + Progesterone = It worked!
    BFP #5 on 09/10/12 (11 DPO). HCG #1 @ 14DPO = 131.6 HCG #2 @ 16DPO = 509

    Thanks girls! My dr called and I will be checking into the hospital on Thursday night for Cervadil and then the Pitocin will start on Friday. Still hoping to go into labor on my own before then, but at least I know that, no matter what, we get to meet our new little guy by Friday.
    Tomorrow is my last day of work before my maternity leave so I will have all day on Thursday to give Quinn tons of love and attention. I am getting all emotional about being away from him for 3 nights. These crazy pregnancy hormones ;-)

    So this is the week Allison!! Only a couple of more days. I have to say that being away from Evan was the hardest part of all this. the hormones got to me as well and I was so down that he was not around more. We mae sure to bring him in with us to spend time and that helped greatly!

    Well, he must be mighty comfy in there! I think I read in a post somewhere that they scheduled an induction date already? Either way, I hope he comes out on his own! Hang in there, you'll be holding your new baby before you know it :)
