Coxsackievirus and cleaning toys

So we went to Sesame Place and dd catched the virus. Honestly no big deal. She was sick for 3 days but it was not terrible like the net describes it.

I am cleaning all our toys and was hoping to use the 1 cup bleach x 4 cup hot water and dump all her lego in but I am getting cold feet.

How do you clean your LO's toys?

I am just afraid I may not rinse it well or that the toy's shiness will be removed. (Bad experience with boiling toys in the past--they melt miserably)

I am scared of doing that too. You aren't alone, and we have had coxsackie twice. It stinks.

I would bleach it... that's how toys are cleaned.. bleach and water..

Clorox site says its ok if you follow this:

3/4 cup of bleach per gallon of water

let soak for 5 minutes

rinse

air dry

If you're worried about soaking or boiling, maybe try the bleach wipes?
