Recommendations on Crib Mattress

I am needing to buy a crib mattress for out Da Vinci Parker crib. There are so many choices. Would love to hear what everyone has bought/would recommend/not recommend. Our crib converts into a toddler bed so a mattress that also works for that would be great! Thanks!

    We bought a Colgate mattress that has a firm side and a slightly less firm side.  Firm side is for the first year, then it can be flipped over for use in the toddler bed.  I opted to go with a spring mattress instead of foam.

    I got mine at Costo.  It was Baby Bargains recommended.  It is an organic one.  It's great!  I bought it through Costco online.

    Go with foam...so much easier to deal with.

    We got the Colgate Classica I - highly rated in baby bargains.  Many people get the Colgate Classica III (I believe) for the dual sides, but we didn't think that would be necessary.  We'll see how it works out once LO arrives.  =)

    I got the Colgate Classica II.  I also think that foam is the way to go.  SOOOO easy to change sheets with a lightweight mattress!

    We're going organic with this item. We feel it's very important since the baby spends so much time sleeping. Naturepedic is the brand we're using. I've narrowed it down to two. Either the no compromise or the 2in1.

    Ultimate crib sheets make changing the bedding ridiculously easy, without having to lift the mattress.

    This exactly. Not having my baby breath all of those nasty chemicals is so worth the extra $100 to me!

    We have a Da Vinci crib and got the MDB Twilight mattress (Da VInci is the online name for Million Dollar Baby, so it's the same company) It's foam, so it's lightweight, and fits perfectly. And was only like $99 on Amazon. Really happy with it.
