Pregnant after a Loss

I think I am going to go bankrupt!

How on earth do you keep from going bankrupt from buying baby girl clothes? They are so freakin cute. I went to Ross, Marshalls, Belk and ON and only bought things on sale and still ended up spending like $300 and came home with a ton of stuff. I just couldn't resist and my sis wasn't helping "oh how did you miss this" and then me "ooh I don't know, I'll take it" I told myself from no on that I can only buy 1 outfit at a time.

Re: I think I am going to go bankrupt!

  • Thankfully I was given soooo many brand new and gently used baby girl and boy clothes the only clothing items I bought were the coming home outfits.  It is hard not to buy the clothes bc they are sooooo adorable.

  • OH yeah.. I love love love girl clothes and girl toys.  If I have a boy... he will not have clothes to wear because I just dont like anything boy out there... I am such a girly girl.
  • LOL, that's the danger. My husband had to put a moratorium on those super cute, winnie the pooh socks you can get at target. Everytime I'd go there I'd come home with 3 new pairs.

It doesn't get any easier when they get older either. LOL.

  • LOL!  I keep telling myself that I will be getting gifts...but I know its hard!
  • I didn't see your big u/s post, congrats on a baby girl!!!!!!!!

It's so hard.... I think I find something new every time I go shopping.  Even if it's not clothes, I can't help getting socks...or headbands.... or this.....or that hehe!  It's SO fun!

    that is my problem

  • I was looking at some baby clothes yesterday.  That's my total weakness!  I don't care about the other stuff, but I totally LOVE the clothes!
  • lol! You have 20 more weeks to go! Thats alot of shopping time!

I think its going to be hard to resist buying things... I was in the toy aisles at the store yesterday looking for a gift for my little brother's b-day, and I saw this super cute, plush seahorse with a tummy that glows and that plays a really soft lullaby. It was only $10, and so tough to convince myself that it really is too early to buy things!!!

  • That is dangerous!! We are broke so my DH would kill me if I did that. But how fun!!!
  • One of the reasons we're not finding out the sex!  I know I wouldn't be able to help myself.

  • Ha that's funny. I haven't bought ANY clothes yet actually. I keep feeling like I have no idea what they will actually want/need/will wear.

that's what I am worried about!

But it was all my birthday money so it was mine to do whatever I wanted with

  • Thats why I said thank god I am having a boy!!! I can't resists the little pink onsies, or little skirts and shirts!!!

My boy is going to be naked, or wearing camo! Thats the only thing that I have ooed and aahhed over! (DH would love it if he saw this! But it might encourage the whole hurting thing, shutter)

  • Well, if it was b-day $, that is a completely different story! You bought things for baby, which makes you selfless and generous right? You could have spent it at the spa/salon, and not have anything to show for it. (like how I try to justify things?)

ah yes, you are so right!

  • FOR REAL! I am thinking we might have to keep the sex a surprise to keep me from breaking the bank.
