TTC After a Loss 6 Months+

went to acupuncture! (FF mentioned)

and loved it!

while I am still skeptical - I'm going to continue through this cycle - I really liked the guy I found and his approach to his practice. He was really knowledgable about fertility issues and m/c and when he asked if I knew how my "hormonal thermal shifts" were each month, I diligently pulled out a print out from FF on my last 4 non-medicated cycles and his response was, "wow, this is a cool website"

It was really relaxing, didn't hurt a bit, and I had noticeable responses and reactions during it. He's not even going to assess for any vitamin or herbal recommendations (totally optional anyway) for 3 months (if I continued doing it or needing it that long) - he likes to see how things work on their own first.

m/c#1 07/16/08 (11 weeks), m/c#2 10/10/08 (8 weeks). and then nothing since except every test possible (no answers). IUI#1 and #2: BFNs Super lucky to be buddies with Peetie. Our out of nowhere, surprise DD born 5/29/2011

  • I am so impressed with you for doing this, and for being able to relax.

I'm not afraid of needles, but acupuncture would really test that.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

  • Sounds like a pretty neat experience!  I've contemplated doing it myself but haven't looked into it around area as of yet!  The needles make me nervous, however you were saying they didn't hurt??   If you don't mind me asking......where exactly is he  putting them?

  • That's so awesome! I think I'm going to start next month to go balls-out with our final pre-RE cycle.

it didn't hurt at all. The only one I really felt was in my thumb area on my right hand - but the sensation went away instantly. In fact when he was taking them out, I didn't even know he had put 2 in my knee area.

where he put them: both of my hands and wrists, my right knee, my right knee, and my left foot and ankle, and one on my forehead. I'm going again next week - so I'll report back!!
