Are you watching the current season or did you start with the first? I think the show is best if you start watching at the beginning rather than start at the middle. The characters are developed so slowly and carefully.
If you are starting at the beginning and just finding it slow, I can say that I loved it from the first episode, but it took DH about 4 to really get into it (and now he's as obsessed as I am).

I don't know if I can be of any help because I've been into it since the first episode. I do agree with the PP that watching it from the beginning would be a must for me. I don't remember when DH got into it, but it was somewhere late in the first season. I'm pretty sure he went back and watched all the earlier ones because he loves it just as much. It's our favorite part of Sunday night.
I have to say we dumped it after 2 seasons. I actually really did like it, and some of the characters - and loved the period -- but just grew bored, like, I get it already . . .

Hmm. Maybe that's my downfall. I just jumped in with this new season.
I agree with the pp - start from the beginning. I haven't loved this season until this week's episode. If nothing else I can watch it for the clothes. I wish I could dress like Betty Draper!

I'll give it some time to grow on me. And maybe, if I have a sick day or something, I can find the time to do a little back-watching.
Thanks.
