  • We have a membership at a wildlife center here.  There are all sorts of trails and animals.  We do that once a week.

We also do story time at the local library.  We go to the beach.  We go to the park.  We meet friends for lunch.  We walk around the neighborhood.  We walk to lunch nearby.  We go to the pool.  I take them bowling.

  • For at home activities. . . This morning, I pulled out a big plastic bowl, filled it with water, cups and a spoon. I set it on a beach towel on our deck and let LO play. He loved it!

Its hard, our LOs are not quite mobile enough to really enjoy a lot of things yet, like playgrounds or mall play areas. . . I understand wanting to find fun things to do.

  • You could teach him how to make tickers. Wink

Where are you located?  We're lucky to be in the San Diego area so there is a lot to do here even before they can walk.  It was really tough to come up with things when DD was around 6 months and we were stuck in Kansas, though.  I would just try to get out with her as much as possible, even just taking her to the mall so she could get a change of scenery.  She loved being pushed in the toddler swing at the park and watching the older kids run around.  She also liked story time even though she was a bit squirmy.
