I have it & used it when we stayed in a hotel. It worked great. The only thing about using it at home is that it's a little bulky on our queen size bed. We only use it for travel.
We use the First Years Close and Secure sleeper. It was a hand-me-down from SIL and probably our most used baby item other than the boppy. DS loves sleeping in it, so we actually put it inside his Arms Reach Co-sleeper. He is too long for it already, but we tried taking it out the other night and he didn't sleep as well. We used it a ton the first two month on the couch and when we traveled to my ILs. We never used it in the bed, but that is what my SIL used it for and my nephew slept in it for like 4 months (he was much shorter than DS though).
My sister has one for my nephew and he loves it so she got one for us to try with LO. She likes it but for some odd reason refuses to sleep in it at night. I like it bc it is portable (MIL doesn't have to buy a garage sale crib now...thank god.) and it has music and a little night light. The sleep positioner is great and there is also a little foam insert in case your LO likes to sleep on an incline like mine does.
Like PP I have the First Years and I love it. I co slept with DD for about a week (she is a noisy little thing!), then just started putting her to sleep in her crib in it. She made the transition perfectly and I really think it was in part to being in the same "bed". At about two months I stopped using it and she never seemed to miss it. I still use it in the mornings, I put her on my bed in it so we can "talk" while I am getting ready.
I loved it. DS would only sleep with us at first, and we used it, then we starting putting it in his PnP to get him out of our bed, then we just put him in the PnP. We still use it for travel, but DS has to be elevated, and its hard to do in the plain Snuggle Nest (we bought it before he started with the reflux and I didn't see the point in spending the extra $20 for the deluxe, which has the head of it elevated)
