when MIL was here she kept saying Jack needed a "Pumpkin Seat" (punkin seat?). I thought she was referring to a bouncy seat because she wanted it for when she was watching him during the day (and not going anywhere).
But now she was asking if he needs a pumpkin seat or bigger for when we visit them next month so I now think it means an infant car seat.
regardless I said bigger - since we have used convertibles since birth.
is this a regional term or am I totally out of the loop (I'm thinking regional b/c I have seen DH's friends' FB pages with pictures of their baby in various infant type seats with titles saying something like "baby L sleeping soundly in his pumpkin seat")
Re: is this regional? pumpkin seat?
Looks like it might be a generational thing...seems to be a reference to an infant carrier...

intersting - I didn't see that when I googled. My mom has never heard of the term either.
Well, my question was answered anyways - it doesn't appear to be widely recognized. I was mostly just wondering if it was a midwest thing.
