Weekend recap: Nothing exciting. She started having some more contractions on Sunday and then had several more throughout the night last night. Still in the tredelenberg position, but the doctor gave her a bathroom priviledge on Sunday morning. She finally got to poop for the first time in about a week! Seems silly, but pooping in a bedpan while laying upside down... She was too gun shy about it and waited until she was allowed to actually go to the toilet. I can't say that I blame her, lol, no matter how uncomfy it was to wait. (rest assured that if she hadn't gone, the doctors would have made her today)
She had lots and lots of visitors this weekend, so I didn't really get much chance to talk with her. And that was okay, I knew she was doing well and hanging in there. She was scheduled to get another round of steroids today too, and hopefully move up to an antepartum room.
Early this morning she texted me during a NST. Apparently the girls were too active and the NST took over an hour to get through. She was tired, and the doctors tried twice to come talk to her but had to wait until after the NST. The doctors told her the girls look amazingly strong for 24 weekers! :-)
Today, she may be leaking amniotic fluid. She isn't 100% positive yet, so I don't want to unnecessarily freak anyone out. I know that while the Ffn looks to have been negative, Baby A is very very low and her fluid is low around her. So it looks like she really is leaking amniotic fluid. Doctors and nurses are in and out, so I'm not getting the full picture yet. But she def needs T&Ps.
Please keep up the positive thinking. At this point, even if Baby A's water is leaking, the main focus is most likely still going to be on keeping infection at bay.
As always, I'll post updates when I know more.
Re: Clayliover - Monday update
Thanks for the update. I'm glad to hear that she's doing well (and that she got to poop!
). I really hope that it turns out that she's not leaking amniotic fluid, but if she is I pray they're able to hold off infection.
Keep cooking, girls!
