NBR: what to wear to a formal wedding in Dec...

Hello~  DH's cousin is getting married in December.   I have only attending a wedding in March in Boston so I am unsure what to wear.  I just moved from FL, so all cocktail dresses I have are strappless, sleeveless, etc.  I feel like most cocktail dresses do seem to be short sleeved or sleeveless.  Is this what you would wear just with the appropriate outerwear?  Or would you try to find a long sleeve option such as a pants suit?  I'm not normally at loss for fashion.  LOL

    I think sleeveless or strapless is OK for December, as long as it is appropriate colors.  Maybe take a pashmina to wear with your dress in case it's cold?

    Ditto Halley - I think a sleeveless dress is fine, just have a wrap or something in case you are cold. I went to a NYE wedding and wore a black sleeveless dress. Everyone my age was wearing sleeveless or even strapless cocktail dresses. I would just stick with a darker color to fit the season.
