I find the more milk plus capsules/liquid by Motherlove works great. I also drink warm/hot liquids (water, hot chocolate, juice, etc) and oatmeal to help greatly. I've had issues with my supply in the 1st two wks of LO's life that resulted in her to lose 1lb from her birth weight. So far, I've managed to wean her off of supplementing with formula without affecting her weight. GL!

In addition to drinking Mother's Milk tea, taking fenugreek capsules and staying as hydrated as possible, I like to drink malta. Malta has the color and consistency of Guinness but is non alcoholic; I'm convinced that the barley, malt and hops in it help increase supply and it's one of my favorite drinks anyway:-)
I notice a huge difference when I snack on granola (mostly made of oats). Bonus is that its a somewhat healthy snack and fills you up! Just cant bring myself to eat oatmeal when its 90 degrees out
I started pumping after each feeding for 10 minutes. Even if I felt empty, I just pumped for 10 minutes anyways for the nipple stimulation. Totally worked, and I'm building up a freezer supply now too.
Re: what was your approach to increase milk supply?
Oatmeal and fenugreek and lots of water
and no, mini pill hasn't affected my supply
mini pill hasn't affected my supply.
i try to eat lots of whole grains, protein and drink TONS of water. i think the beer a day helps, too
I also pump once a day, i don't know if that helps or not. it's not in place of a feeding, though - it's for my freezer stash.
I don't take the mini pill.
Drink tons of water & make sure you are eating enough & making healthy food choices.
